President and Chief Executive Officer Stephane Rambaud is a native of France. Stephane's family has been in the international shipping arena since 1931. After completing his education in Paris, Stephane came to the U.S. to learn how freight forwarding was done on this side of the Atlantic. In 1985, he joined Phoenix in Chicago as a clerk in the import department. In 1988, he moved to St. Louis to open up a Phoenix office.

In 1990, Stephane was promoted to vice president and made responsible for most of the company offices. He was promoted to chief operating officer in 2000, president and chief operating officer in 2003, and chief executive officer and president in 2007.

Stephane has two children whose love he cherishes. He makes a point to take them to France regularly so they too become international. His hobbies are tennis, golf and boating, but his passion is freight forwarding and making Phoenix International the best company it can be.
